Hi, I’m Joe — the host behind The Black Pearl. Lake Bowen has been a special place to me for as long as I can remember. I started visiting the lake with my family when I was just 5 years old, and some of my favorite memories were made here. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate what a true hidden gem this lake is — peaceful, beautiful, and full of the kind of charm that makes people want to come back again and again.

I created The Black Pearl to be more than just a place to stay. My goal is for every guest to feel welcomed, relaxed, and able to truly disconnect from the stress of everyday life. From quiet mornings by the water to evenings around the firepit, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable and memorable experience.
