The Black Pearl — Guest Policies & Information

To ensure every guest enjoys a relaxing, safe, and luxury experience at The Black Pearl, we kindly ask all guests to review the following policies before booking.

Occupancy Limits

• Maximum overnight occupancy: 4 guests
• Maximum daytime occupancy: 10 persons total, including registered guests
• Unauthorized overnight guests are not permitted
• 1 Queen Bed and 1 Queen Air mattress provided(Black pearl is designed for 1 couple and not intended for children however an air mattress is available for children or another couple to join if desired)

Quiet Enjoyment

The Black Pearl is intended for peaceful lakefront enjoyment.

• Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Parties, events, large gatherings, weddings, and unauthorized celebrations are prohibited

No Pets Policy

The Black Pearl maintains a strict no-pets policy to preserve the cleanliness and comfort of the property.

Legally protected service animals are accommodated in accordance with applicable law and must remain under the control of their handler at all times.

Smoking Policy

Smoking, vaping, marijuana use, cigars, hookah, and any combustible or vapor-producing substances are prohibited inside the home.

Smoking is permitted outdoors only in designated areas.

Waterfront & Outdoor Safety

The property includes:

• Lake access
• Dock areas
• Outdoor stairs and sloped terrain
• Retaining walls and landscape features
• Fire pit
• Custom hot tub
• Hammock
• Kayaks

Guests acknowledge that use of all outdoor and waterfront amenities is entirely at their own risk. Children must be supervised at all times.

Climbing on retaining walls, waterfall features, docks, or landscape structures is prohibited. Jumping or diving from unauthorized areas is not permitted.

Hot Tub Guidelines

Guests using the hot tub agree to:

• Use the hot tub at their own risk
• Supervise children at all times
• Avoid glass containers in or around the hot tub
• Refrain from tampering with equipment or controls

Kayaks & Watercraft

Complimentary kayaks may be available for guest enjoyment and are used at the guest’s own risk.

Please note:

• The owner’s personal boat and jet skis are private property
• They are not included with the rental
• Guests may not board, operate, move, or use them in any manner

Property Respect

Guests are expected to treat The Black Pearl with care and respect.
Additional charges may apply for:

• Damage
• Excessive cleaning
• Smoking remediation
• Missing items
• Rule violations

Security & Technology

The property includes:

• Yale smart lock entry
• Smart TVs with guest mode
• Guest WiFi
• Exterior security cameras for safety purposes only

No cameras are located inside the home.

Nature & Lake Environment

As a lakefront property, guests may encounter:

• Insects
• Wildlife
• Pollen
• Uneven terrain
• Seasonal lake conditions
• Weather-related outages

These are considered normal characteristics of the lake environment.

Agreement Acknowledgment

By booking The Black Pearl, guests acknowledge and agree to comply with all house rules, safety guidelines, and rental policies.

A full Rental Agreement and House Rules document will be provided prior to check-in and must be acknowledged before access information is released.
